No Unbox For You

TiVo announces Amazon Unbox integration. While the Unbox license agreement may be questionable, it’s still annoying that Canada gets the snub again:

“Offer valid only at Amazon.com in the Amazon Unbox video downloads store and cannot be redeemed at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca, or any other Web site operated by Amazon.com”

What’s the deal here? Movies and TV shows aren’t available on iTunes Canada either. Is there some CRTC rule that prevents it? Is it the networks, afraid they won’t be able to control their content?
